My name is Kevin, and I had the idea of creating a blog for the first time in 2017. I am a tourist guide from Riga, and I am passionate about my country. After working in tourism for many years, I decided that it was time to share my knowledge with others.

Who I am?

Born and raised in Riga, I was always interested in culture. I studied art at the most prestigious University in the country and did my master’s abroad. After graduation, I had the wonderful experience to live in Spain for 1 year, and Germany for 6 months. This opened my mind to new ways of thinking and understanding the world.

When studying the greatest works of art and architecture, I became a fan of museums and galleries. Little did I know that this would become my career. Soon I realized that I wanted to share my passion with others and especially tourists. What could be better in life than showing foreigners the cultural heritage of my country?

This is how my career as a tour guide started, and my experience abroad and knowledge of languages helped me greatly.

Our vision

We live in difficult times, where pandemics, war, and other conflicts are around the corner. It’s exactly in times like this when we need to hold on to what’s more important. In this sense, a family vacation, a visit to a museum, a walk through the park, and a beautiful concert can make a difference.

Travelling enriches a person’s soul and brings people closer to each other, like the case of family vacations. When you travel, you have the chance to make business connections and meet new people, and I want to be there for all these people when they need me.

Being a guide is my passion, and now this is also reflected in this blog. After all, if I have helped many people throughout their journeys, why not help more through the Internet?

Our mission

With this in mind, I can talk about this blog’s mission. I am committed to providing the best possible information to every person who wishes to visit Latvia. Here, you will never be alone: even if you travel solo, you are welcome to log in and find that piece of information you were looking for.

This is my duty and commitment. CityHotel.lv is created for those who want to make the best of their vacationing time. Whether it is for business, on your honeymoon, or if you travel with your family, this is a place you can rely on.

Find the best hospital, hotel, museum, park, or concert hall to visit and discover the wonders of my country. Get to know the Baltic region hand-to-hand with CityHotel.lv.

I invite you to take a break, go through our entries, and read some of our content. You are likely to find exactly what you are looking for and the answer to your questions.

Who writes our content?

As I explained above, I created this blog to share my knowledge with others. And, in doing so, I have met some wonderful people that help me make CityHotel.lv a fully informative blog. This platform would not be the same without them.

The team is formed by a group of writers, editors, and proofreaders whose main job is to create the best content. Most of our entries are written by people who know the place they describe or the industry itself. This is mainly the case with hotels and hospitals.

When the article is written, it jumps right to our editor’s desk where it goes through a fact-checking, editing, and proofreading process. But the story doesn’t end here because our editor will take care of another important question: our style.

Our mission is to write useful articles with accurate information carrying our unique style. And, even if this is not always achieved, we always try our best. The bottom line is that the information is available for the visitor when he or she needs to use it.

Conclusion

Wrapping up, I can say that I am proud of what I’ve created. I have the knowledge to help people and the desire to share my passion. This is what makes this blog special, providing support and assistance to every person who wants to visit Latvia.

You are welcome to explore our articles, comment, and share, thus contributing to our wonderful community of travelers in search of adventure.
